We are seeking a highly skilled Ocean Environmental Expert specializing in dolphin ecosystems and marine conservation. This role involves conducting comprehensive environmental assessments, supporting water and wastewater treatment projects, and ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in environmental consulting, project management, and geospatial analysis, with a focus on marine environments. Duties
Conduct detailed environmental research and data collection related to dolphin habitats and ocean health.
Develop and implement water treatment and wastewater management strategies utilizing SWMM, HEC, and other modeling tools.
Utilize GIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and CAD for mapping, drafting, and spatial analysis of marine environments.
Prepare environmental permitting documentation in accordance with EPA regulations and environmental law standards.
Support project engineering efforts including project scheduling, project management, and construction oversight for marine-related projects.
Assist in environmental remediation efforts by analyzing geotechnical data and supporting manufacturing or oil & gas operations impacting ocean ecosystems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental compliance initiatives across various sectors such as civil engineering, mechanical systems, and water resources.
Monitor environmental conditions through data collection techniques to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
Contribute to research initiatives aimed at understanding the impact of human activities on dolphin populations and ocean health.
Experience
Proven experience in environmental consulting with a focus on marine or water resources projects.
Familiarity with SWMM, HEC models, Civil 3D, MicroStation, AutoCAD, GIS (ArcGIS), Environmental permitting processes, and EPA regulations.
Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, water treatment systems, and wastewater management strategies.
Background in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or related fields with experience in project management and project scheduling.
Hands-on experience with environmental remediation projects involving manufacturing or oil & gas industries is preferred.
Strong understanding of environmental law, compliance standards, and research methodologies related to ocean ecosystems.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to water treatment systems or marine infrastructure is advantageous. This role is integral to advancing sustainable practices in oceanic environments while supporting regulatory compliance and innovative research initiatives aimed at protecting dolphin populations and marine biodiversity globally.
