We offer flexible days and hours allowing for optimal work performance and balance with personal life. At AdaptABLE we encourage schedule autonomy to the greatest extent possible. Documentation, meetings, and some virtual assessments can be completed from home or remotely. This is a part-time vs. per-diem position with opportunity to increase hours as desired.
The ideal candidate is a skilled professional that is passionate about delivering quality care and making a real difference in the lives of adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. We are in search of a candidate that will proactively find and solve problems related to an individual's quality of life and future safety concerns if progression is expected. This is a non-treatment role with emphasis on professional recommendations following a formal assessment.
Responsibilities
Perform evaluations or consultations as needed and provide input to clients and interdisciplinary team members.
Prepare and submit clinical updates based on identified and attained goals, if applicable.
Lead trainings for non-medical caregivers including safe lifting/transfers, sensory integration techniques, and equipment usage during client personal care.
Research and provide input on equipment purchases for individuals or facilities as needed.
Communicate recommendations and collaborate with additional team members including nursing, physical therapy, and speech language pathology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
Valid
Massachusetts state occupational therapy license
in good standing required.
Bi-lingual applicants strongly encouragedto apply.
Active CPR certification preferred.
Consulting experience is not required to apply and training will be provided if a consulting role is designated at time of hire.
Must have clear CORI and fingerprinting background checks.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
