Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in the home or daycare environment. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals through therapeutic activities and interventions.

Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans designed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide direct patient care, focusing on improving patients' daily living skills and overall quality of life. Work with pediatric patients as well as adults in various settings, including acute care and outpatient clinics. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities to promote independence. Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care services and progress notes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

Must be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with current licensure. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices. Experience in pediatrics or home health is preferred but not required. Strong skills in patient care, assisting with daily activities, and developing care plans. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Previous experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting is a plus.

Pay: $40.00 - $53.00 per hour
