Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to patients across various settings, including home health, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care environments. The COTA will work closely with patients of all ages, including geriatrics and pediatrics, to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals through effective therapeutic interventions.

Duties

Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and improve quality of life. Implement treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, ensuring adherence to care plans. Conduct patient assessments and document progress in accordance with established protocols. Provide therapeutic interventions in various settings. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support patient care and rehabilitation efforts. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate effectively with the occupational therapy team. Stay informed about medical terminology and occupational health practices relevant to the field.

Experience

Previous experience in home health, acute care, or skilled nursing facilities is preferred. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and their applications in therapy is a plus. Strong understanding of geriatrics and pediatrics is advantageous for providing specialized care. Experience working with care plans and conducting patient assessments is essential. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is crucial for effective treatment delivery. Prior clinic experience will be beneficial in managing diverse patient populations. Pay: $48,847.06 - $51,213.67 per year
