Occupational Therapist
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, and a commitment to helping children with physical, cognitive, or sensory disabilities achieve their goals. Our Occupational Therapy Assistant will work closely with occupational therapists, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive and individualized treatment..
Responsibilities:
- Work with OTR to implement a variety of occupational therapy interventions, including fine and gross motor programs, sensory interventions, visual motor and visual perceptual interventions, executive functioning support, adaptive equipment assessments. and more.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including OTRs, physicians, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Provide education and support to families, and caregivers
- Monitor patient progress and work with OTR to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Participate in case management and discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of New Mexico.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively and autonomously.
- Experience working with pediatric clients.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Pay: Up to $60.00 per hour
