Position Overview

We are seeking a

highly skilled and autonomous Occupational Health Nurse III (OHN III)

to support a large-volume manufacturing client in

Athens, GA

. The OHN III will serve as the primary onsite clinician for employee health services--providing medical response, injury/illness management, compliance exams, and wellness support while collaborating closely with facility leadership, HR, and EHS teams.

This is an advanced nursing role ideal for a Registered Nurse with occupational health, acute care, or emergency response experience who thrives in an independent, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing services for employee illness, injury, and wellness. Serve as the onsite medical lead, providing emergency response and leading the Emergency Response Team (ERT). Perform fit-for-duty exams, DOT drug and alcohol testing, and OSHA-mandated surveillance. Maintain clinic operations, metrics, and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Act as a liaison between local facility leadership and Corporate Medical. Support Disability Case Management and coordinate return-to-work processes. Assist in ergonomic evaluations, wellness programming, and safety initiatives. Ensure confidentiality and promote health, safety, and productivity among employees.

Qualifications

Required:

Active

Registered Nurse (RN)

license. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in occupational health, acute care, or emergency response. Excellent clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills. Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn systems like PeopleSoft.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field. Prior experience supporting manufacturing or industrial facilities. Certifications in occupational health, emergency response, or case management. Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, EH&S, ergonomics, and health promotion principles.
