Purpose

The NX designer required for immediate opening to develop automotive innovation components in a fast paced environment. Designs including but not limited to instrument panel, hard plastic trim & various convenience items such as storage components & mechanisms. Other design items include bracketry, ambient lighting, & some surfacing. Plastics design experience required.

A Cad proficiency test will be administered as part of the interview process.

Technical Qualifications:

Demonstrate the creation of interior automotive components in NX. Able to create solids from concept, rough paper napkin sketches, and prints.


Plastics Design + Interiors
5 years proficient experience in CAD design and be capable of creating 3-D parametric math models from concept Solid Modeling + Seating structures and mechanisms
+ Kinematics are a plus
Must be able to take direction & generate CAD math in a fast paced challenging environment within an iterative process. Experienced with Teamcenter & create 2D drawings for our internal prototype shop. Must be a self-starter and work in an independent environment as well as being part of a team. Sound understanding of Plastic Injection molding and design for manufacturability. Understanding Sheet Metal No foam required*
No electrical - may be some cable routing*

Soft Skills:

Effective verbal and written are essential. Comfortable interacting with clients and internal design, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
