SAI Residential Treatment Center is a state-licensed and CARF-accredited Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility dedicated to serving adolescents with high-acuity behavioral health needs. Our multidisciplinary team provides trauma-informed, compassionate, and evidence-based care to help each resident move toward emotional stability and long-term wellness.

Position Overview:



We are seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to lead and oversee our residential nursing department. The ideal candidate will be a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing, preferably within an adolescent residential setting. This position requires strong leadership, clinical judgment, and the ability to manage nursing operations in alignment with CARF and HCQC standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide daily supervision, leadership, and scheduling for the nursing team. Ensure all nursing practices comply with CARF, HCQC, and NAC 449 regulatory standards. Conduct nursing assessments, oversea medication administration, and monitor residents physical and mental health status. Collaborate closely with clinical, medical, and residential teams to ensure integrated care for residents. Provide crisis intervention and participate in debriefing following critical incidents. Review and audit nursing documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Train, coach, and evaluate nursing staff to maintain high-quality care standards. Participate in treatment team meetings and communicate resident health concerns to the multidisciplinary team. Maintain inventory and control of medications, supplies, and medical equipment. Ensure infection control and health and safety protocols are consistently followed. Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives for the nursing department. Conduct physical examinations and provide guidance on patient care plans Utilize Tebra or similar systems for patient records and utilization review Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practices in nursing care Manage and coordinate nursing schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels Works with program physician in performing physicals, interpreting lab results and getting medical advice concerning resident medical treatment. Participates in developing, implementing and evaluating nursing plans based on nursing assessment; participates in nursing diagnoses; implements nursing components of master treatment plan. Documents and describes nursing care provided as well as observations and interventions that contribute to the continuity of care. Implements and maintains established policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, and environmental and infection control. Interpret these to the physician, resident, family members, and public, as appropriate. Reports significant changes in the resident's condition to appropriate members of the health care team. Responsible for ensuring compliance of subordinate staff with accreditation and regulatory agency standards. Reports observed compliance shortcomings and issues of subordinate and other facility staff to the assistant PRTF director. Advocates, promotes and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions. Verify, count, and administer medications to residents. Educates clients on medication side effects, adverse effects, and drug interactions. Monitors clients daily for side effects, adverse effects, and/or drug interactions. Ensures client prescriptions are filled and the appropriate amount is maintained through each client's stay within the residential milieu. Monitors medication logbooks for completion and accuracy

Qualifications



Registered Nurse license in the state of Nevada in good standing Minimum three to five years of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience, with at least one year in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience working with high acuity adolescents strongly preferred. Working knowledge of CARF and HCQC standards and documentation requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. . Ability to remain calm, professional, and trauma informed in high stress situations. Proficiency in physical examinations and utilization review Familiarity with Tebra or similar electronic health record systems Valid driver's license
