Responsibilities

Adheres to the nursing professional development (NPD) core competencies as defined by the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) scopes and standards of practice. Supports the transition of nurses and other team member across practice environments and professional stages through onboarding and orientation, competency management and role development. Uses the educational design process to address knowledge, skill and practice gaps at the individual and team level. Evaluates clinical and professional performance and provides coaching in collaboration with unit or department leaders. Provides leadership through continuous process improvement and supports program development, organizational mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. Collaborates to support nursing quality, patient safety and health equity within defined patient populations.

Quality care for patients experiencing crisis through Safety Care training certification and recertification for Behavior Support Team, Security, PBMU staff, EDMH Staff, PHP staff and other core groups as applicable. Additionally there are needs to expand the scope of who is trained to Safety Care throughout the organization as we continue to experience a high number of patient experiencing behavioral emergencies.
Requirements

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing from accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in related specialty
- Experience with education, professional development or teaching in a clinical learning environment
Required Credentials:
- Current Washington State RN License
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Emergency, Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS
- PEARS or PALS certification required within 3 months
- PEARS or PALS Instructor Certification obtained within 12 months
- National certification in a clinical specialty area must be obtained within 3 years
- As per the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), for RN\'s performing moderately complex point of care testing, a copy of a diploma or transcript of the highest level of academic achievement to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. For personnel trained outside of the U. S., records of diploma/transcript must provide documented equivalency evaluation by a foreign credentialing agency.

Min to Max Annual Salary$108,638.40 - $162,968.00 /yr

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children\'s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
