Responsibilities

Lead the overall management of the nursing home or assisted living community, ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Develop, implement, and monitor personalized care plans for residents with diverse needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and general senior care. Supervise clinical staff such as nurses and caregivers to ensure high standards of medication administration, resident safety, and quality of life. Oversee budgeting processes, financial planning, and resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency while delivering exceptional resident services. Foster a positive work environment by supervising staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development. Collaborate with social workers and healthcare professionals to support residents' emotional well-being and coordinate home & community care services when needed. Manage group home operations including resident admissions, discharge planning, and maintaining detailed documentation for regulatory compliance. Promote a culture of safety by conducting regular audits of care practices, safety protocols, and emergency preparedness plans. Engage with residents' families to communicate progress updates and address concerns promptly with empathy and transparency. Lead initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction through innovative programming focused on memory care and social engagement.

Requirements

Proven experience in nursing home management or senior care administration with strong leadership skills. (Licensed LNHA required) Extensive knowledge of assisted living facilities, long-term care operations, dementia care strategies, and Alzheimer's support programs. Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Prior experience supervising clinical teams including nurses and caregivers in a regulated healthcare environment. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, resource management, and operational planning within healthcare settings. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and compliance standards related to nursing home operations. Working knowledge of regulations governing assisted living facilities or retirement homes across relevant jurisdictions. Excellent communication skills for engaging residents' families, staff members, healthcare providers, and community partners effectively. Ability to handle complex situations involving residents with developmental disabilities or dementia with sensitivity and professionalism. Experience working in group homes or home & community care settings is highly desirable.
