The Director of Behavioral Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and coordination of activities within the assigned department to ensure effective daily operations aligned with the hospital's Plan for the Provision of Patient Care. The role includes implementing standards, evaluating the quality of care delivered, and overseeing psychiatric program development within the Department of Nursing.This leader will collaborate closely with medical staff and hospital administration to support and customize the Piedmont Medical Center strategic plan. The Director will lead and participate in the development of programs and services that address community needs. Additionally, the role carries full administrative responsibility for departmental operations, including annual budget planning.
Qualifications & Requirements:Education:
Master's degree in Nursing or Business Administration
required

Experience:
Minimum
5+ years of leadership experience
overseeing psychiatric inpatient and outpatient programs within an acute care facility.
Licensure & Certifications:
Valid Permanent Multi-State RN License is required.
If holding an RN license from another Compact State, the candidate must obtain a Multi-State RN License from their state of residence within
30 days
.
American Heart Association
BLS CPR certification
required.
CPI certification
to be obtained during orientation.
