Responsibilities
Assist with patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely documentation.
Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and changing
Provide medication reminders.
Feedings and food preparations
Follow all dietary needs
Observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior and communicate findings promptly to the healthcare team.
Maintain and safe and clean living environment
Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient interactions, treatments administered, and vital signs using.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and aseptic techniques during clinical procedures.
Run errands if needed.
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures relevant to geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and acute care.
Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) certification and demonstrate proficiency in infection control practices including aseptic technique.
Skilled in using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively to prevent injury for both patients and caregivers.
Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams and providing compassionate patient service.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
Demonstrated caregiving abilities with a focus on safety, empathy and attention to detail when managing complex medical needs.
