Patient Care Delivery
#### Clinical Care
Obtain and document height, weight, intake and output, vital signs, and blood glucose levels.
Report abnormal findings in a timely and accurate manner.
Perform hourly rounding and respond to call lights.
Collect and deliver specimens; transport blood products per policy.
Provide 1:1 patient care when assigned.
#### Activities of Daily Living
Assist with hygiene, grooming, ambulation, repositioning, mobility, and transportation.
Ensure the correct diet is provided and assist with feeding as needed.
Create and maintain a safe environment for patients.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum age: 17
Preferred:
+ Nurse Assistant Certification
+ Previous patient care experience Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) within 3 months of hire and maintain certification

Proficient with hospital equipment and standard procedures
Skilled in measuring vital signs and applying good body mechanics

Working Conditions

Moderate stress during high census or acuity
Possible exposure to infectious diseases or combative patients
Works 8-12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical Demands

Must be able to:
+ Walk and stand for extended periods
+ Push wheelchairs or carts up to 50 pounds
+ Lift or position patients up to 35 pounds unassisted (over 35 lbs requires assistance)
+ Perform CPR and physically demanding patient care tasks
