Position Overview




The

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

provides direct clinical care to residents within Greylock Recovery's medical and substance use disorder programs. Working collaboratively with the Medical Director, Director of Nursing, and clinical team, the NP plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, and regulatory-compliant medical services.


This position requires strong clinical judgment, familiarity with substance use and behavioral health treatment, and the ability to work compassionately within a structured care environment.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct comprehensive medical assessments on admission, during stay, and as clinically indicated. Manage ongoing medical needs, including acute and chronic conditions, in collaboration with the Medical Director. Evaluate and monitor withdrawal symptoms, medication efficacy, and patient response to treatment. Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with DEA, DPH, and facility protocols, including Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) as appropriate to licensure and training. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, treatment planning, and discharge coordination. Ensure documentation meets standards set by BSAS 105 CMR 164, Joint Commission, DEA, and DPH requirements. Provide clinical guidance to nursing staff and support medication administration oversight. Support infection control, incident response, and patient safety initiatives as part of the facility's Quality and Risk Management Program. Maintain ongoing education in addiction medicine, pharmacology, and best practices in integrated behavioral healthcare.

Qualifications



Current Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner License (APRN) in good standing. DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) required or eligibility to obtain prior to hire. Experience in addiction medicine, psychiatry, internal medicine, or family practice preferred. Knowledge of ASAM criteria, detoxification protocols, and trauma-informed care principles strongly preferred. Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and clinical documentation skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to thrive in a team-based care environment.
