Work Schedule:

10% FTE, One half day per week between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. No weekends, holidays, or call.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you\'ll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Provide fundamental elements of Pediatric Palliative Care including symptom management, facilitation of goals-of-care conversations, and counsel surrounding complex medical decision-making.
  • Support children in living well with serious illness through complex symptom management.
  • Provide supportive space and presence for patients, families and teams navigating serious childhood illness and loss.
  • Work in collaboration with both multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary colleagues in the inpatient, outpatient and community-based environments.
  • Engage in the education and training of medical learners who rotate through the Pediatric Palliative Care service and participate in institutional and community-based educational efforts.
Education:
If Nurse Practitioner: Master\'s or Doctorate\'s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
If Nurse Practitioner*:
  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Pediatric Primary Care, Pediatric Acute Care
If Physician Assistant*:
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active PA board certification
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
