Nurse Practitioner for High Risk Pregnancy Center

The High Risk Pregnancy Center is a nationally recognized, maternal-fetal medicine private practice, one of the largest in the U.S., leading the way in procedures, patient care and technology. We are currently seeking an additional full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team of four NPs who run our diabetes in pregnancy program. Competitive salary well above national BLS averages based on experience. Specialized training will be provided as needed for our patient population. The practice has a generous 401k plan with matching contribution and excellent health insurance benefits. Nevada has a low cost of living, and the state has no income tax.

Duties:

  • Serve as primary educational resource for the patient and family, including comprehensive diabetes education.
  • Utilize advanced practice knowledge and skill to systematically collect and evaluate health assessment data and to manage a caseload of patients.
  • Consistently demonstrate effective communication skills and work to eliminate communication barriers.
  • Consistently apply new knowledge relevant to clinical practice.
  • Demonstrate current professional, managerial, and/or technical knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrate APRN role behaviors consistent with the development of advanced nursing practice.

  • AIUM Accreditation for ultrasound, fetal echocardiography
  • American Diabetes Association recognized Diabetes Education Program (First in state of Nevada for MFM)
  • CME allowance for your continued education

  • Master\'s degree in nursing; completion of an APRN program
  • Active APRN license in the state of Nevada or the ability to acquire a Nevada license.
  • Applicant must be highly organized, self-motivated, ambitious, and have the drive to excel.
  • Complete BC-ADM and CDE within 1 year
