We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be passionate about providing high-quality patient care across various settings. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
Perform diagnostic evaluations, including ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies.
Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments as required.
Provide education to patients and families regarding health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes.
Stay current with advancements in medical practices, technologies, and regulations.
Skills
Candidates should possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to:
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks.
Experience in critical care settings (ICU, Level I/II trauma centers) and emergency medicine.
Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
Competence in performing procedures such as suturing, catheterization, IV insertion, spinal taps, and airway management.
Familiarity with specialties including gastroenterology, geriatrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine.
Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and pain management strategies.
Experience with telehealth services and case management practices.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.
