Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including acute care, primary care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and emergency medicine. This role involves providing comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks is essential. The Nurse Practitioner will deliver high-quality care in diverse settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, and telehealth platforms. Candidates with specialized skills in areas such as Botox and dermal fillers, gastrology, infectious disease care, or hospice & palliative medicine are encouraged to apply.

Duties



Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments across various age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing advanced clinical skills such as suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, ventilator management, spinal taps, and tube feeding. Administer injections and medications with expertise in medication administration protocols and sterile techniques. Perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and medical imaging interpretation. Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth to document patient encounters accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, disease management (including infectious diseases), medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications. Coordinate discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and post-acute care to optimize patient outcomes. Engage in telehealth consultations leveraging telemedicine platforms to extend care services remotely. Participate in specialized procedures such as dermal fillers or esthetic laser treatments if qualified. Collaborate with specialists in fields like cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (ophthalmology exams), or neurocritical care (PICU/Neonatal ventilator). Maintain infection control standards and aseptic techniques during all procedures to ensure patient safety.

Requirements



Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current state certification. Proven experience in diverse clinical settings including hospital medicine (Level I & II trauma centers), emergency rooms (ER), ICU/CCU units, outpatient clinics, or home care environments. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth; experience with medical coding systems including CPT, ICD-9/10 is preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to primary care and specialty areas like geriatrics or pediatrics. Ability to perform complex procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care/insertion, airway management (ventilators), and NG tube placement. Experience managing patients with developmental disabilities or dementia/cognitive impairments is advantageous. Skilled in critical thinking for triage decisions and urgent/emergency care situations requiring acute pain management or infection control protocols. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; familiarity with health coaching strategies is desirable. Pay: $130,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
