Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Pain Management, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health & Occupational Medicine



Locations:

Blue Springs, MO | Overland Park, KS

Schedule:

Monday-Friday |

No weekends. No call.

Procedures & Advanced Clinical Skills You'll Learn and Perform



This position provides extensive hands-on training across interventional, diagnostic, and rehabilitative medicine:

Fluoroscopy-guided joint and sacroiliac (SI) injections

(diagnostic and therapeutic)

Ultrasound-guided tendon, bursa, and trigger point injections

BrainView/qEEG concussion diagnostics

Behavioral health integration

, including screening and referral within a multidisciplinary model

Development of care plans and medical necessity reports

following Core's standardized clinical guidelines

Diagnostic imaging review

- reading and interpreting X-rays, MRIs, and diagnostic ultrasounds Writing

comprehensive medical narratives, impairment ratings, and causation reports

for medico-legal and OWCP cases ( this will likely be after a year of training) Managing

workers' compensation (OWCP/FECA), personal injury, and occupational medicine

cases ( you have a case manager over these as well) Performing

DOT physicals

and occupational evaluations as a

Certified Medical Examiner (CME)

Collaborating with the therapy and behavioral health teams to manage

post-concussion rehabilitation and cognitive recovery


Key Duties & Responsibilities



Perform thorough patient evaluations, histories, and functional assessments. Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal, neurological, and behavioral health conditions. Coordinate with DC, PT, OT, MD and behavioral health to ensure continuity of care. Review diagnostic imaging and test results to guide treatment progression. Document all patient interactions accurately and efficiently in the EHR. Provide patient education regarding injury prevention, rehabilitation, and self-care. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement.

KPIs measured for Performance



Patient encounters a a hour , measure by week, month and quarter.

Bonus is based on this.

Reoccurring/outcomes:

most of these procedures are ongoing and compliance and reoccurrence rate is an outcome measurement we use.

Critical Drivers:



Scheduled appointments for the week is at our above target.

Support:



1 to 2 medical assistance based on volume, who are rooming, setting up procedures and cleaning up. They assist in al procedure documentation, billing and coding and just require review and sign off.

Qualifications



Active

Nurse Practitioner License

(Missouri and/or Kansas required).

Certified Medical Examiner (DOT)

- or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. DEA license (or eligibility to obtain). Strong interest in interventional pain management, rehabilitation, and medico-legal care. Excellent communication, diagnostic reasoning, and organizational skills.
