The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary care services to adult patients (18 years and older) in an outpatient clinic setting. This role includes the assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions, preventive care, and select elective services. The NP practices autonomously within the scope of state licensure and clinic protocols, while collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
We are currently open Monday - Friday. We are considering adding a Saturday morning clinic. This position would include Tuesday and Thursday (9-5), potentially Saturday mornings (9-12) and PRN. The schedule is open for discussion.
Pay will depend on experience and skill level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Care Services
Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations for adult patients
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with state law
Provide preventive care, including wellness visits, screenings, and health counseling
Develop and manage individualized treatment and follow-up plans
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
Specialty & Elective Services
Evaluate patients for IV hydration therapy and order/administer treatments when clinically appropriate
Provide hormone optimization evaluations and management, including patient education, monitoring, and follow-up
Conduct evaluations for medical cannabis card certifications in accordance with state regulations
Minor office procedures
Patient Care & Communication
Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and lifestyle modifications
Promote preventive health and wellness strategies
Ensure informed consent for procedures and elective services
Address patient concerns with professionalism, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
Compliance & Quality
Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and clinic policies
Maintain current licensure, certifications, and required continuing education
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits as requested
Uphold HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards at all times
Collaboration & Operations
Collaborate with clinical staff, nursing, and administrative team members
Provide guidance or supervision to nursing staff as appropriate
Support efficient clinic workflow and patient throughput
Participate in staff meetings, training, and clinic initiatives
