The primary purpose of the Nurse Manager is to coordinate the development and implement each tenant's plan of care. This is based upon each tenant's individual physician orders, emotional, social, nursing, and personal needs and goals. The Nurse Manager directs the nursing operations, completion of documentation and Service Plans, ensures delivery of services expressed in individual Service Plans in accordance with the facility's established policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations and the directions of your supervisors, who include the Director of Clinical Services and Operations, Executive Director, members of the Regional management team, and other members of Arcadia's Corporate leadership to whom such persons report, in order to assure that the highest level of support for the facility's residents is maintained at all times. As a Nursing Manager, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for performing your assigned duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations (e.g., Illinois Administrative Code Title 77, Part 295)
Supervise licensed and unlicensed clinical staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing education
Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care conferences
Support the on boarding and training of new care team members
Model and promote a culture of dignity, respect, and professionalism
Conduct and oversee resident assessments, care planning, and health monitoring
Ensure residents' service plans are developed, implemented, and reviewed regularly
Monitor changes in residents' conditions and coordinate appropriate interventions, including physician and family communication
Manage medication management systems, including compliance with physician orders, pharmacy coordination, and proper documentation
Maintain accurate and timely medical records and service plans
Prepare for and participate in state surveys, audits, and inspections
Implement and monitor infection control, fall prevention, and emergency preparedness protocols
Serve as primary point of contact for resident health concerns
Educate residents and families on health conditions, medications, and care expectations
Resolve concerns or complaints related to clinical care with professionalism and empathy
Lead all internal investigations, i.e., abuse, fall, incidents, etc. and report to appropriate entities
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/ or Director of Clinical Services and Operations.
