Nurse Manager (Informatics)

Job Summary




This role is critical to advancing our clinical and operational goals through strategic informatics initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and analytical skills, a deep understanding of health information systems, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Professional Responsibilities:





Analyze, design, and implement informatics solutions to improve data quality, accessibility, and usability Assist with coordination of

order set review and sign-off

, partnering with analysts to plan timelines, organize content, and ensure alignment with clinical standards Collaborate with clinicians and providers to assess

education and training needs

, and work with educators to develop targeted learning plans Work closely with

EHR system builders

to ensure configuration and workflows reflect clinical intent, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency Serve as the liaison to the

OurPractice Advisory point person

, helping to identify system needs across

acute and ambulatory settings

, and ensuring informatics solutions are tailored to the unique demands of each care environment

Monitor and analyze usage metrics

for both

OurPractice Advisory tools

and

order sets

, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization Translate metric insights into actionable recommendations for system improvements, workflow adjustments, and targeted education Manage health information systems and ensure compliance with medical, legal, and ethical standards Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for stakeholders Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support for end users Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and efficiency Stay current with emerging technologies, informatics trends, and regulatory requirements Document system processes, updates, and user feedback for continuous improvement Develop and implement strategies to promote team morale and professional development Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner Remain informed of state and federal regulations related to nursing and healthcare Adheres to scope of RN practice as outlined by the MS Board of Nursing, regulatory standards and hospital policy Keeping access to protected health information secure and confidential Collaborates with physician and multidisciplinary team to address operational needs Appropriately seeks help or guidance from supervisor or other resource people Adapts to change and prioritizes work Demonstrates reliable attendance, reports on time and is ready to work at beginning of shift Completes assigned duties, willingly accepts assignments and assist others to complete work on time Willing to support training needs by occasionally adjusting work schedule, staying late or working extra

Education/Regulatory Requirements:



Current RN license by the Mississippi Board of Nursing Aptitude for leadership and staff management either through appropriate education or experience Must be able to read, write and understand written and verbal communication. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare informatics role or current acute care experience Proficiency with EHR systems and data analytics tools Strong communication and project management skills * Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with clinical and technical teams
