GENERAL SUMMARY
The Nurse Manager reports to the Director of Heart & Vascular Services/Critical Care Services. The primary job function is to plan, organize, and manage the delivery of patient care activities and maintain quality care in compliance with unit policies and procedures. Supports each Strategic Value by providing exceptional care to those we serve.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing required
Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
Certification in specialty preferred
Licensure:
Licensed to practice as an RN in Ohio required
BLS within 90 days of hire required
ACLS within 1 year of hire required
Experience:
Three years progressively more responsible related work experience with two years concurrent experience in assigned specialty required
In-depth knowledge of patient care theories and practices as applied to a specific patient population required
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Works with the medical staff to coordinate medical and nursing care management.
Maintains awareness of current healthcare developments in area of specialty and/or responsibility.
Pre-cleans, decontaminates and transports contaminated instruments according to policy
Performs intermediate-level disinfection and/ or high level disinfection per the Instructions for Use (IFU) by the manufacture. This includes ensuring the scopes or probes used within the department are cleaned, disinfected, maintained and stored per the IFU's.
