The Position:
We're looking for passionate Resident Aide (RA) to help us with providing nursing care and services to residents, which include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.
Assists resident with their physical needs, including positioning, feeding, transporting, transferring, and toileting, ambulating, personal hygiene, and dressing.
Assist with housekeeping duties as assigned: dusting, sweeping, mopping, re-stocking items, wiping down tables, chairs, and handrails, vacuuming, polishing, and cleaning bathrooms.
Assist with activities and appointments when required and/or be responsible for getting the residents to a scheduled activity.
Reviews care plans at least weekly and whenever an interim care plan is updated, changed, or added.
Free Course Instruction with Full-time or Part-Time Employment:
Course schedule to commence March 2026, classes held on Tuesday & Thursday, 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
Duration: 8 week program with in-person instruction.
Nurse Aide Training Program Location: Waipahu YMCA, Waipahu, Hawaii
Course instruction provided by Academy for Healthcare Innovation.
Work Location: Hale O Meleana, Honolulu, Hawaii
Work as a Care Assistant may run concurrently with Nurse Aide Training Program.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of Hawaii Nurse Aide Training Program.
Scheduled Prometric exam within 120 days of hire.
Commit to one (1) year employment as a Full-time or Part-time Resident Aide/Medication Aide.
