Job Description
We are looking for a New Product Development Engineer to work for one of our clients an electronics manufacturer, located in Hauppauge, NY. This is a permanent, full-time job. In this role you will be responsible for development of prototype and production manufacturing processes including equipment, assembly tooling and test fixtures. The ideal candidate would have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, including lean manufacturing best practices, process documentation and control methods. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports New Product Introduction including new equipment/process introductions, work instruction, and DFM activities.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes.
- Support production cell focused on thick film, thin film, substrate manufacturing, and electroplating.
- Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure quality and safety of the job.
- Develop, propose, and implement continuous improvement process initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
