Duties
Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials efficiently.
Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately.
Assist in stocking, picking & packing orders, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment for shipping & receiving.
Conduct regular inventory audits and participate in warehouse distribution activities to maintain optimal stock levels.
Support manufacturing and construction-related tasks by handling materials with mechanical knowledge and heavy lifting techniques.
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols during all operations.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse processes, improve inventory management, and streamline shipping & receiving workflows.
Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers, including inventory management and materials handling.
Certification or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, or pallet jacks is highly desirable.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 systems, RF scanners, and other inventory control tools.
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stocking, order picking, packing, or load & unload activities.
Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse safety.
