Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Assistant to join our educational team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in preschool education settings, and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and staff.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Provide support in classroom management to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Engage with students during activities, fostering their development and learning. Help with the care of preschooler, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs. Support special education initiatives by adapting materials and approaches to meet diverse learning requirements. Participate in the planning and execution of Creative Curriculum-based activities that promote independent learning. Assist in organizing classroom materials and maintaining an orderly environment.

Qualifications

Experience working with students in childcare or educational settings is preferred. Knowledge of special education practices is a plus. Familiarity with creative curriculum methods is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to assist in lesson planning and adapt activities for various learning styles. Understanding of basic math concepts to support student learning in this area. A passion for educating young minds and fostering a love for learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.83 - $25.41 per hour

Benefits: hourly compensation includes ( funds for 401K, Health insurance and professional development).

DCDEE Criminal Records check clearance letter required along with a current TB & Physical .

Pay: $20.35 - $25.98 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
