Part-Time/ Seasonal/ Hourly




POSITION:






Nordic Center Attendant is responsible for providing information to guests, and directing them to appropriate base areas, as well as assisting guests with Nordic and Alpine rental equipment. Provides front-line customer service by properly selecting and setting up rental equipment for guests (Alpine and Nordic). Other responsibilities include inspecting equipment as it gets returned and before it goes back to another guest to determine tuning needs. The job is a rewarding combination of hands-on tasks and customer service.




SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:





Must have customer service experience


Capable of standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs.


Willing to work weekends and holidays and occasional evenings


Self-starter, ability to work with high standards without supervision


High safety standards


Attention to detail


Basic knowledge of winter and summer sports equipment


Basic cashiering skills


Passion for winter and summer sports


Support and follow Solitude Mountain resort policies and procedures


Able to hike, snowshoe


Knowledge of snowshoe, Nordic and Alpine trails


Knowledge of Nordic Ski techniques is a plus


Ability to learn to sell products in Nordic Rental and Alpine shop and knowledge of other Nordic products


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:







Provide a high level of customer service


Must be proactive and take ownership of situations while anticipating and responding to guests' needs and wants.


Responsible for proper setup up of rental equipment


Test and certify rental alpine bindings


Provide daily maintenance on rental equipment


Provide accurate cashiering


Maintenance of Snowshoe and Nordic trails -flagging, shoveling, marking hazardous conditions


Host guided and informative snowshoe tours


Monitoring trail conditions, informing guests about trail access and directing them to purchase tickets, season passes if needed.
