The Polysomnographic Technologist (PSGT) works under the supervision of the Sleep Disorders Center Manager and Lead Polysomnographic Technologist. The non-registered PSGT works under the supervision of the registered PSGT. The PSGT safely operates sophisticated medical equipment used to record sleep/wake physiology, explains procedures, prepares patients and applies recording devices. The PSGT monitors polygraph recordings, audio/visual equipment to ensure patient safety, test quality, sleep/wake data and other physiological events.
