What you'll do
Drive a step Van or box truck to deliver products to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Load and unload items using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, and forklifts as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and documenting any issues encountered on the route.
Provide outstanding customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition before each shift.
Manage route driving efficiently to maximize delivery schedules and minimize delays.
Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, ensuring inventory is organized and accessible.
Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and address any challenges that arise.
Experience
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is essential.
Previous warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in loading/unloading goods.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on positive interactions.
Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely is required.
Knowledge of using forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
Must be able to lift at least 75 Lbs. with a dolly.
