Nmi Program Manager (new Model Introduction)

Job Description

Purpose:





This position is responsible to lead and integrate all relevant workstreams involved in the launch of a new program in the market. These workstreams are: R&D Product Development, Materials and Components, Design, Process/Equipment Development, Validation and Testing, Tooling, Logistics and Packaging and finally customer specific requirements. The Program Manager is the face of the company when it comes to the customer relationship in all technical and development topics alongside the Commercial Manager. They will improve program profitability during development when possible and manage all aspects of the assigned programs.





Essential Functions:


Manage Development and Launch of NMI Programs (50%)




Manage adherence to NA OE NMI Procedure, including performing all required gate reviews Work with Account Managers to maximize profitability of engineering changes Effectively manage and integrate the efforts of teams involved in the Program Launch according to NMI procedure task group matrix Prepare and have a comprehensive understanding of the program risks to manage them and generate preventive actions at all levels to minimize potential risks Responsible to escalate any potential issue that might result in delays or a potential gap vs. customer's expectations (technical or management related) Generate high level reporting according to customer's specific requirements in an assertive and timely manner Ensure the program teams identify and implement best practices and lessons learned Properly manage all program information across Organization's teams ensuring a good communication from customer and among Organizations' internal teams. Ensure the Program progresses according to defined targets on Organization's three main KPI's: Cost, Timing and Quality for all chapters of development Manage and assure the program engineering changes are successfully introduced

Manage and Implement ECRs (30%)




Ensure the implementation of the ECR progress according to defined targets on Organization's three main KPI's: Cost, Timing and Quality for all chapters of development Prepare and have a comprehensive understanding of the ECR risks to manage them. Program Managers must generate preventive actions at all levels to minimize any potential risks. Properly manage all ECR information across Organizations' teams ensuring a good communication from customer and among Organizations' internal teams.

Forecasting and Reporting (10%)




Provide accurate NMI/ECR capex forecast when required Maintain updated program BC with account team

Understand how to win business and develop/maintain customer relationships (10%)




Comprehensive technical understanding of OEM requirements and technical specifications to be able to properly share and align this information with technical teams within the Organization. Contribute to technical discussions during the quotation process, ensuring all engineering improvements and Organizations' technologies integration opportunities are explored and effectively presented to the customer. Support account team during customer negotiations Represent Organization in front of the customer for all program related topics in a day to day bases. Program Managers are responsible to create a strong and long-term relationship with our customers focused on close technical cooperation.

Travel





Travel is extensive which may require out of state and overnight travel may be expected (~40% annually). The travel is subject to change due to changing business conditions and may increase from time-to-time due to required needs in other plants.





Qualifications Required:


Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience Minimum 3-5 years related experience Program management expertise Previous experience in Quality Systems Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Qualifications Desired:



Advanced degree in engineering or business Blackbelt/Greenbelt certification Fluency in a second language
