What You'll Do
As an Accounting Technician, you'll support the Finance Office by performing payroll processing, financial data entry, account reconciliations, and clerical tasks. Your role will help ensure compliance, efficiency, and accuracy across departments. Key duties include

Enter financial data from source documents (e.g., receipts, invoices, requisitions)
Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Account Reconciliation & Reporting
Reconcile various general ledger accounts
Assist with reconciliation of student transactions
Assist with report preparation and financial analysis
Help maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
Department Support & Collaboration
Back up Accounts Payable Technician
Help prepare for audits and organize supporting documentation
Maintain accounting filing systems and assist with finance department tasks
Support the Assistant Controller and Controller's Office as requested
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or certificate in accounting or related field
Experience in an academic or higher education setting
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar financial systems

Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm
May occasionally require evenings and weekends.
