of interest is detection and sensing within marine environments. Being able to sense hazards within the marine or aquatic environments allows personnel to assess risks and respond appropriately. NIWC Pacific, along with academic collaborators are currently developing tools to aid in understanding risk associated with diving in contaminated waters as well tools to predict potential hazards at a given forward deployment site.

The contractorshall be involved in modernizing existing hydrodynamic models to allow for integration with machine learningmodels and fate transport tools currently under development. The contract shall also be involved in setting up the model, running model scenarios of different harbors and assessing prediction potential.
