This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.
NOTICE OF POSSIBLE WAIVER: Per KRS 160.380, to expedite the hiring for this position, the district may apply for a waiver to prevent disruption of necessary instructional or support services.
Mt. Washington Middle School is seeking an energetic, team-oriented candidate to perform routine custodial activities.
The selected candidate will be responsible for duties: cleaning bathrooms, cleaning classroom and hallway floors, maintaining the cafeteria's cleanliness, and assisting with clean up following events/community activities.
The position is 7 hours per day and 170 instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 1 extended days for at total of 182 days per year. Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. (Considered full time with benefits - see below)

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

Step 10: $16.40
New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)
Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks. This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
