We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front Desk Agent /Night Auditor (Over Night Shift) to join our team. The Front Desh Agent/Night Auditor is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression and second arrival experience for all guests staying at or coming to the hotel. Additionally, they will check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information. Control and secure credit payment for property according to the policy and procedures. Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures. Prepare, maintain, audit and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables. Audit and reconcile all revenue postings. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the hospitality industry. Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor.
Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications through various channels.
Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions.
Conduct night audits as required, ensuring all financial transactions are balanced.
Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest needs are met.
Generates direct billing statements.
Packages all night audit backup material for review by the hotel accountant.
Passes on any information gathered during the audit that may be of significance to the hotel accountant via e-mail.
Monitors present day availability and house count and take appropriate action as needed.
Resolves any staff shortages that arise on shift.
Assists in Fire Safety and Emergency Preparedness Program as required. Familiar with crisis manual and be able to put into action as needed.
Prints reports for start of the business day, for the General Manager, Front Desk and Housekeeping.
Prepares daily hotel communication report with information including VIP, group arrivals, hotel occupancy, Human Resources, Sales, and Food & Beverage information. Emails daily report to all department heads by 7 a.m.
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the front desk area.
Experience
Previous experience in hospitality is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
Familiarity with phone etiquette and effective communication techniques.
Experience with night audit processes is a plus.
Multilingual abilities are an advantage in enhancing guest interactions.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is required.
