2026 Summer Internship Program

Over the course of our

10-12-week summer internship

experience you will have the opportunity to:


Work directly with a mentor in your field of study while finding solutions to real world problems. Experience our products up close by working in our manufacturing and research facilities. Interact directly with our company leaders to discuss strategy and the future of PennEngineering Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities. Gain the skills and knowledge to become a future leader. Support engineering projects in manufacturing, operations, or technology development

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Modeling, drafting, and drawing of fasteners, fixtures, installation or testing equipment. Perform teardowns of target application and/or competitive product. This includes full disassembly, documentation through pictures and text, review of the technologies through discussions with engineers, and creating a formal report. Perform destructive and non-destructive testing, installation, and measurements. Work with sales and marketing to evaluate an idea or concept for possible market acceptance, communicate product function and documentation for sale and use. Coordinate with manufacturing personnel to facilitate sample, trial, and final production product. Purchase and assemble test fixtures, samples, and other assemblies. Actively participate in brainstorming and problem-solving. Undertake research to support the learning of new processes, products, and technologies. Document and share with global team.

Requirements:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Working towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Some experience with solid modeling, drafting, and FEA software and Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience delivering presentations to small or large groups.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NEEEDED:

Must be able to use testing tools as required. Visual acuity for detailed work * Must be able to work in an air-conditioned/non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment for an 8-hour shift.
