Neurodiversity Specialist
, you will serve as a key leader, driving program success, fostering independence, and ensuring a high standard of care. In this role, you'll oversee individualized support, coordinate services, and mentor staff--all while promoting inclusion and community engagement.
This leadership position requires dynamic problem-solving, strategic planning, and hands-on involvement. It includes shift work, administrative responsibilities, and on-call availability--including occasional weekend rotation. Availability, in general, must be flexible. Open to days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:
Serve as a team leader
, ensuring the implementation of best practices in neurodiversity support
Oversee individual care plans
, guiding Program Specialists to develop effective Community Participation Support (CPS) schedules
Manage compliance & documentation
, auditing organizational records and ensuring accuracy in:
Lead training initiatives
, mentoring staff to ensure high-quality service delivery
Supervise daily operations
, providing guidance on individual goal-setting and skill development
Conduct quality control measures
, including bi-weekly medication audits, weekly record reviews, and monthly facility inspections
Oversee nutritional plans
, ensuring individuals receive proper meal planning and grocery support
Act as an emergency resource
, providing on-call support and critical intervention when needed
Collaborate with external professionals
, coordinating with therapists, psychologists, and medical experts to optimize care strategies
Advocate for inclusion
, championing individual rights and access to community opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
(e.g., special education, psychology, social work)
Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role
within disability services
Minimum 2 years of experience working with adults with IDD
Strong understanding of person-centered approaches and best practices
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of laws and regulations related to disability services
Availability for shift work, on-call support, and weekend rotations
