Overview:

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Network Technician II providing support at a National Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM.

The candidate will support the telecommunication network, telephone infrastructure (i.e., network, telephone, wired communications, wireless communications, and mobile platforms), and desktop-computing devices.

Responsibilities:

Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communications networks. Perform network maintenance to ensure optimal operation with minimal interruptions. Design and implement computer and information networks, such as LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Conduct network modeling, analysis, and planning, including assessing capacity needs for network infrastructures. Design network and computer security measures to protect data and ensure network integrity. Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software solutions to enhance network performance and security.
Qualifications:
High School Degree plus 5 or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job. Candidate must have an active DOE Q clearance. Must be a US Citizenship
