Job Description

The Network/Systems Technician will assist with the management of the organization's technology infrastructure. This position works side-by-side with the technology team to optimize services, maintain digital security, and troubleshoot problems as they arise. In addition, the Network/Systems Technician must provide excellent customer service, the ability to communicate effectively, and effective problem-solving skills. The position will also disseminate knowledge through detailed documentation and training to ensure consistency, efficiency, and standardization.Provides technical support for the effective maintenance, repair and system upgrades of Collaborative and member school district networks and systems.



To be "on call" outside of normal working hours for emergency situations.Assist in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users for multiple platforms.Support and maintain the school's computer systems, such as desktops, laptops, tablets, and their peripherals.Administer, manage, and configure file/print, e-mail, web servers, routers, firewalls, and desktop management.Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware, software, and equipment while ensuring optimal performance and coordinate assistance from third parties when necessary.Support the school's VoIP system.Support and maintain all school and classroom AV, such as Interactive boards, document cameras, and sound systems.Maintains an accurate inventory catalog of Collaborative computer hardware. Maintain a library of software programs available through Collaborative and member school districts.Manage and maintain Active Directory and Google Workspace tree and structure.Monitor and update help desk incident tracking tickets for purposes of demonstrating compliance with issue response and resolution, Service Level Agreements, logging daily activities, and documenting solutions.Assist with hardware inventory, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support.Support day-to-day Information Technology activities and projects.
