Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Network Systems Analyst
for a 12-month contract opportunity with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will support the replacement, repair, and configuration of network infrastructure equipment, primarily focusing on campus network upgrades. The role involves transitioning from Cisco hardware to Extreme Networks and requires a strong foundation in networking fundamentals and hands-on hardware installation.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, replace, and repair network switches and routers across the campus.
Lead or assist with the replacement of
Cisco equipment with Extreme Networks gear
.
Install, rack, stack, and configure networking equipment (switches, routers, wireless components, etc.).
Perform analytical and operational tasks related to
cloud, network, and enterprise infrastructure services
.
Collaborate with engineers to improve existing services and processes.
Validate engineering designs and contribute to operational documentation and best practices.
Troubleshoot and provide on-call support for cloud, network, security, and wireless systems.
Review engineered systems, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and operational standards.
Participate in after-hours maintenance activities including patching and scheduled upgrades.
Manage IT Service Management (ITSM) tasks including ticket updates, customer communications, change control, and project time tracking.
Deliver infrastructure service requests such as
DNS, DHCP, Certificates, and VIPs
.
Provide feedback for continual service improvement and operational optimization.

Required Skills & Experience
Networking Expertise:
Hands-on experience installing and configuring network switches and routers.
Extreme Networks experience
highly desirable;
Cisco Route/Switch and CCNA knowledge
a strong plus.
Analytical & Troubleshooting Skills:
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across network, cloud, and security domains.
Customer Service:
Excellent communication skills with a professional, patient, and empathetic approach toward end users and stakeholders.
Project Management:
Ability to coordinate across teams, gain stakeholder buy-in, and manage tasks within project timelines.
Technical Documentation:
Ability to create and follow complex technical procedures and contribute to documentation improvements.

Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree
in Electronics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Minimum
2 years of experience
in network or cloud operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CCNA certification
preferred.
Experience with
Extreme Networks or Cisco environments
is strongly preferred.

Additional Information
This is a
day shift role (Monday-Friday)
with flexible working hours.
Candidate must be willing to work
one off-hour day per week
during network cutovers.
New graduates with
Cisco or Extreme Networks experience
will be considered.
