We are currently seeking a Nesting / Programmer that will be responsible for creating efficient CNC programs and material nests for stainless steel components used in outdoor kitchen cabinets. This role supports second-shift production by optimizing material usage, ensuring accurate programming for laser, punch, or router equipment, and collaborating closely with fabrication and production teams to meet quality and delivery goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and optimize nests and CNC programs for stainless steel sheet metal components.
Maximize material utilization while maintaining part quality and manufacturability.
Review engineering drawings, CAD files, and work orders for accuracy and completeness.
Modify programs as needed to support production changes, scrap reduction, or quality improvements.
Troubleshoot programming and nesting issues in collaboration with operators and supervisors.
Ensure programs meet machine capabilities, tooling constraints, and shop standards.
Maintain organized program files and documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, throughput, and waste reduction.
Communicate effectively with engineering, production, and quality teams during second shift.
Ability to meet the demand of a fast-paced manufacturing facility with frequent collaboration on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications and Requirements:
2+ years of CNC nesting and programming experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Experience working with stainless steel sheet metal.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of fabrication processes (laser cutting, bending, welding).
Experience in cabinet, enclosure, or outdoor kitchen manufacturing preferred.
Familiarity with press brake and forming considerations during nesting.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
