Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service while demonstrating proficiency in operating various types of commercial vehicles. NEMT wheelchair driver requirements include a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, passing a criminal background check and drug screening, and CPR and First Aid certification. Drivers must also be physically capable of assisting passengers and securing mobility equipment and have strong customer service skills to handle vulnerable individuals.

Duties

Operate commercial NEMT wheelchair vehicle. Ensure timely and safe delivery of patients to designated locations while maintaining a high level of customer service. Load and unload patients via wheelchair vehicle. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes, schedules, and any issues that may arise during transport. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while driving on assigned routes.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (Class E). Experience in NEMT wheelchair driving is a plus. Ability to operate various types of stretcher and wheelchair vehicles. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
