Join GDIT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world\xe2\x80\x99s most complex technical challenges. The NCIS program is searching for a Network Systems Engin to join their team in Quantico, VA.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of over 2,200 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the Department of Navy (DON) component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counterterrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities.

This position is part of the IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization and performs the following responsibilities/functions:

• Manage and deploy server applications in a virtual environment on OSes such as Windows Server, RHEL and Ubuntu
• Manage and troubleshoot an Active Directory environment including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, user account management, and replication
• Manage and troubleshoot a variety of direct attached and network attached storage devices and ensure storage solution meets the needs of sensitive applications and field operations
• Provide real-time monitoring of applications and hardware critical to operations
• Perform patch management and change management in a multi-site environment to ensure all systems receive necessary updates and patches to security vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations when necessary
• Perform routine DISA STIG compliance and vulnerability scans and apply controls and mitigations
• Provide real-time support and troubleshooting to field operations
• Knowledge of video network protocols, video codecs and video management systems (VMS) is preferred
• Experience managing Active Directory Certificate Services and deploying private PKI infrastructure is preferred
• Experience managing and troubleshooting a VMware environment utilizing clustering, HA, and DRS is preferred
• Knowledge of basic networking protocols, administration and manufacturers such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto is preferred
• Knowledge of Tenable/Nessus is preferred
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, hybrid environments and AWS is preferred

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (May be substituted for additional years of experience)
• 7+ years of network experience; with 3 years of specialized networking experience as described above
• Required: DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification ex. CompTIA Security +
• Required: Secret, must be TS/SCI eligible
• Preferred: MCSE
