Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
In accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations, the Registered Nurse is directly responsible for attending to patient\xe2\x80\x99s nursing needs in the office setting and over the phone. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the care and treatment of patients according to the standards of nursing practice and established Porter Medical Group policies and procedures. He/she will demonstrate a pleasant disposition to patients, families, and coworkers. Patient confidentiality will be maintained at all times.
EDUCATION:
- Must maintain unrestricted RN license in the State of Vermont or a compact RN license
- One year of RN experience required. Two years of relevant RN experience in Chosen clinical area preferred.
- CPR Certification.
Previous experience with nail care including, educating patients on proper care of their feet, conducting foot exams to assess the condition of the patient\xe2\x80\x99s feet\xe2\x80\x94including checking for signs of infection and taking measurements Performing basic foot care procedures, such as cleaning the feet, clipping nails, and removing calluses Providing specialized treatment options for patients who have wounds that have not responded to other methods of treatment.
