Job Description

We are seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Music Teacher to join our faculty. Music is an indispensable part of our liberal arts education, central to how humans experience the world and behold the wonders of order and beauty. Our music curriculum emphasizes appreciation, history, theory and participation in both vocal and instrumental performance. In this role, you will:

Introduce students to music theory and history, fostering an appreciation for the beauty and order of musical achievement across time and culture Lead students in the study and performance of great works of music, with a focus on cultivating the discipline and delight of choral singing Teach students to develop their voices, musical ear, and technical skill, with opportunities to engage in both individual and ensemble performance Adapt lessons to a wide range of developmental levels (K-6) Model a love of learning, strong character, and a commitment to our school's classical mission
The ideal candidate is passionate about both the liberal arts and the formation of students' minds and hearts. Prior teaching experience is preferred, but above all we seek a teacher who delights in truth, beauty, and goodness, and who can inspire students to do the same. This is a full-time, academic-year position with regionally competitive salary and benefits, including enrollment in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI). A Bachelor's degree is required.
