$70 per hour
Qualifications
Must pass CORI background checks for working with children
Must have a car
Must be available at least 3 days a week from 2pm to 6pm
Experience working with children in a group, classroom or camp environment
Can travel to Boston and surrounding suburb's community centers and schools
Play a musical instrument

Our growing team started two years ago when our founders met at Northwestern University. Our approach has attracted significant attention, including a recent to develop our own audio-responsive video game, Intervallic.

Responsibilities:
Teach classes for children:
Deliver engaging music lessons for 5-12 students tailored to specific age groups (5-14 years olds) and foster a love for music.
Two of our favorite games are from our Harmony class:
In a Kahoot style game we built, students guess chords and end up jumping up and down with excitement when they get them right.
Students vote on harmonies for a class composition and have a big dance party as they listen to their beats.
Adapt and provide feedback:
Problem-solve in the classroom and provide fast feedback to develop and improve our program.
Come Prepared:
Review our provided lesson plans, games and technology (developed in house) to make sure we create the best musical experience for our students possible.
Participate in training:
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with teaching strategies and program content.

Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Education or Related Field
Extra Credit:
Has a car and valid driver's license
Classroom management experience
Prior experience as a music teacher, educator, instructor, mentor or tutor
