Role Overview:

As a Music Producer at Q Department, you play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end production process, from pre-production to post-production, ensuring the successful delivery of projects. You'll collaborate closely with our talented team to produce original music, sound design, mixes, interactive sound, and sound branding across various mediums, including videos, TV, trailers, interactive experiences, VR, and broadcast commercials, to support our Los Angeles, New York, and Paris team.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain communication with team members throughout all project stages, ensuring seamless progress and timely delivery. Manage and oversee project schedules, workloads, and confidentiality requirements. Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the studio, nurturing relationships and fostering repeat business opportunities. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including creative directors, sales teams, and external vendors. Utilize your creative production expertise in commercial music, film, and advertising production to lead sound production efforts effectively. Demonstrate adaptability, strong leadership, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Liaise with agency and brand clients on project scope, creative direction, budgets, and timelines. Handle project administration tasks such as preparing bids, processing POs and invoices, and drafting contracts. Coordinate project calls and meetings, collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with creative directors to fulfill talent needs and ensure project success. Strive for continuous improvement and innovative solutions. Maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.

Key Qualifications:

Proven experience in commercial music, film, and advertising production, with established business relationships. Proficiency in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication. Deep understanding of audio post-production workflows and services. Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams to drive business growth. Strong technical and creative skills in broadcast, film, and web/interactive mediums. Highly adaptable and tech-savvy, with a broad musical knowledge base. Experience working with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and composing music is considered a plus.

Requirements:

Minimum three years of experience in a related industry. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed by the post-production industry. Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking. Thrive in a fast-paced environment and seek growth opportunities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
