Job Description

The Duncan & Miller Glass Museum is searching for a videographer intern. This internship could be extended if there is mutual interest. The Duncan and Miller Glass Museum is owned and operated by The National Duncan Glass Society, a 501(3) (c) non-profit organization. The mission of NDGS is to enhance the preservation, appreciation and study of the glass industry in the United States as reflected by the products and processes of the Duncan glass factories. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Videographer Intern to join our team. The intern will be responsible for creating engaging short videos for education as well as our social media platforms. These videos will highlight the museum's history, exhibits, and unique pieces, aiming to attract and educate our audience.This internship is for an undergraduate student. College credit may be available dependent upon university department requirements.The internship will be two 5-hour days per week or as required for degree credit agreed upon by the museum director and intern. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with museum staff to plan, script, and produce short videos. Capture high-quality video footage of exhibits, artifacts, and events. Edit video content to create compelling narratives. Assist in developing a content calendar for video releases. Ensure all video content aligns with the museum's brand and mission. Monitor and respond to audience engagement on social media platforms.
Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field. Proficiency in video editing software Experience with camera equipment and video production techniques. Strong storytelling and creative skills. Familiarity with social media platforms and their video requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
