We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Munitions Technician to join our Aero Services division. This is a Flex/Deployable role and the incumbent may live anywhere in the US.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Exercises considerable latitude in planning and lay out of repair sequences, modifications and installation of aircraft munitions systems.
  • Provides direction, guidance and training to less experiences staff.
  • Assembles, disassembles, and installs a variety of munitions and aircraft suspension equipment.
  • Inspects and maintains a variety of complex machines to produce or install munitions on aircraft.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs aircraft systems following technical specifications, engineering instructions, technical orders and procedures and military regulations; documents findings.
  • Installs and modifies parts and assemblies; leads operational and functional testing and determined adjustments to systems to meet required specifications.
  • Provides direction, guidance and training to less experienced staff.
  • Maintains aircraft munitions handling, suspension and support equipment to include bomb racks, weapons pylons and launchers.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency and three or more years experience in aircraft munitions handling, transportation and installation. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must be able to perform a variety of complex tasks and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of aircraft munitions handling, operation, installation and troubleshooting.
  • Must possess:
    • Exceptional knowledge and use of aircraft munitions machinery, devices, equipment and systems;
    • Ability to read, interpret and explain technical specification, engineering instructions, and technical orders and procedures;
    • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and assess situations and make judgments; and
    • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Ability to work both independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
