Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as an administrator (principal/asst principal preferred). Special Education teaching experience (DESE license preferred). Knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support and prior relevant experience in academic (all curriculum), social emotional, and behavioral student support. Skilled in teacher evaluation demonstrated through prior relevant experience. Attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and work collaboratively as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create positive relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, student information systems, and other applicable technologies. Proficiency in compiling, organizing, analyzing, and reporting data. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find acceptable and appropriate.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works collaboratively with District and High School Administrators, faculty, and staff to facilitate the implementation of multi-tiered systems of support. Monitors the fidelity of implementation, including the identification of students, delivery of Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions, and student progress. Analyzes student needs and identify research-based interventions across academics, vocational, behavior, and social-emotional learning. Establishes data collection and analysis procedures to inform decision-making around student needs and district allocation. Supports Special Services with the ninth-grade transition process, particularly over the summer months. Coordinates with the High School Principal and the Vice Principal to develop meeting schedules and agendas. Serves as a member of the Executive Team. Leads the District Wellness Committee. Assists teachers in maintaining discipline in coordination with the Assistant Principal. Develops and maintain a positive working relationship with families, staff, and community members. Participates in the selection of candidates to be recommended to the principal for teaching positions. Contributes to the annual review and revision of the Program of Studies. Calibrates curriculum documentation and systems in collaboration with the Executive Team and leads. Works with the supervisor of attendance to monitor student attendance, identify students at risk of becoming chronically absent, and implement targeted interventions. Convenes meetings with students and their caregivers to address chronic absenteeism in collaboration with the Director of Guidance. Implements, when appropriate, the Child Requiring Assistance process and appear on behalf of the district in all hearings related to truancy. Maintains student records in accordance with applicable laws. All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Full-Time, Full Year. Hours will vary based on District & student needs. Typical school year hours are 10am 6pm.

COMPENSATION:

* FY26 range based on qualifications & experience $105,000 - $120,000 (prorated from FY26 start date).
